About The Real Deal

It's Jazz from the inside out.

The Real Deal features today's jazz masters conversing on topics that range from the creative process and technique, the current state and relevance of jazz music.

The Real Deal is hosted by one of Chicago's busiest and most sought-after musicians, jazz trumpeter Orbert Davis; who has recorded over 3,000 television and radio commercials and record projects for notable artists that include Ramsey Lews and Kurt Elling.

Mr. Davis also served as Jazz Consultant to director Sam Mendes for the DreamWorks Pictures feature film release, "Road to Perdition," starring Tom Hanks and Paul Newman, where he arranged music and appeared in an on-camera performance.
